Application for tenure-track faculty position

The Institute of Dental Sciences of the Faculty of Dental Medicine is pleased to announce a call for applications for a tenure track position in biomedical research that will be available starting October 2021.

The Institute is a multi-disciplinary center comprising researchers in immunology, microbiology, developmental biology, cancer research, biophysics, systems biology, salivary research, and tissue engineering. To apply, Ph.D., Ph.D.- D.M.D., or Ph.D.-M.D. degrees and postdoctoral training are required. Candidates are expected to develop independent research in an area of bio-medicine, and to actively participate in the preclinical teaching program of the dental faculty, and in the graduate program in biomedical sciences.

Evaluation of candidates will be based primarily on academic excellence, originality, and the candidate’s potential to develop an outstanding independent research program.  The candidate's area of specialization will be considered, however given the institute’s broad areas of interest, we welcome applications in all areas of biomedical science.

In addition to their research record, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching and training of graduate students. Successful candidates are expected to lead an independent research team pursuing a state-of-the-art research program, and to contribute significantly to the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs of the Faculty.
